Joseph A. Corbo, Jr.
President |
Joe Corbo is Vice President & General Counsel of the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, a position he has held since 2002. Joe is also presently serving his second consecutive two-year term as President of the Casino Association of New Jersey, the New Jersey Casino Industrys collective voice.
Joe has been an executive in the gaming industry for the past 18 years. During that time, Joe has played significant roles in several gaming companies in both of the nations two largest gaming jurisdictions Atlantic City and Las Vegas. In 1997, Joe became the Vice President & General Counsel for the Venetian in Las Vegas. After spending three years in Las Vegas, Joe returned to New Jersey where he is now the Vice President & General Counsel for the Borgata.
A South Jersey native, Joe started his legal career in 1987 with the Atlantic City based Cooper Levenson law firm. Joe commenced his gaming career in 1990 when he joined Resorts International as in-house counsel and subsequently served Harrahs Atlantic City and Park Place Entertainment in similar roles.
Prior to becoming President of the Casino Association of New Jersey, Joe had served as a Trustee of CANJ on behalf of Borgata for 4 years. From 2005-2007 Joe served as a board member on the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority and presently serves as President of the 200 Club of Atlantic and Cape May Counties and is a long-standing board member of the Atlantic City Boys and Girls Club. Joe is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Nevada. He has two children, Stephen, 13 and Caroline, 10.

Larry Sweeney

Larry Sweeney is the Corporate Director of Safety and Security for AtlantiCare Health Systems. Larry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Safety Management. Larry is a former investigator with the United States Army; he resides on Osborn Island with his wife Cathy and is the proud grandpa of Olivia and Liam.

Ken Blankenbuehler is a retired FBI Agent. He operates Blankenbuehler and Associates LLC a private investigation service with corporate, legal and government clients. Blankenbuehler is a member of Project Alert, a team of retired law enforcement officers, working for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Sarah (Sally) E.

Sally is the Project Coordinator for SWAP FOR RENT (Services Which Aid Professionals) of Absecon. Between the years of 1987 and 2005, Sally served as the Parade/Hostess Administrator for The Miss America Organization in Atlantic City, dealing with a number of important responsibilities to ensure the success of the Miss America Parade and Pageant. Sally owned and operated JAVIM INC./ROMAC INVESTORS Corporation of Egg Harbor Township for twenty years and served as the Office and Project Manager for the Maxwell Construction Company.
Sally was born in Easton, Pennsylvania and has been an Atlantic County resident since 1962. She has served in a number of Community and Civic roles that include sports, recreation and scouting. Sally is married to retired Captain Fred Romonowski of the New Jersey State Police. Together they have 3 sons and 5 granddaughters.

Peggy Mallen

Peggy Mallen is one of the founders of the Cape Atlantic 200 Club and the former vice president of C.O.P.S. Chapter of the New Jersey State Police Survivors of the Triangle. Her husband, Albert Mallen, was a New Jersey State Trooper killed in the line of duty in 1985.

Vincent Premone is a retired Atlantic City Police Department Captain and a co-founder of the Cape Atlantic Annual Memorial Mass and Breakfast. Vince is also a founding member of the Cape Atlantic 200 Club and has held various positions within the organization.

Evelynn (Lynn) Caterson, Esquire

Even as wife, mother of 2 and grandmother of 5, Attorney, specializing in Business and Corporate Law, Founder/President of her own unique business SWAP for Rent (Services Which Aid Professionals), President of Absecon City Council and President of the Atlantic County League of Municipalities, Lynn still finds the time and energy to volunteer her services to many, many organizations and causes. Her background as a Municipal Court Judge and Assistant Atlantic County Prosecutor, has given her insight in the various areas she devotes herself. Presently she is serving as Member of Arc of Atlantic County's Human Rights Committee; Charter Member of the Women's Leadership Initiative of United Way and Chair of the Mobilization Committee; Choir Member of the United Methodist Church in Absecon and is the Delegate to the General Conference of the World United Methodist Church and serves on the Jurisdiction Committee on Investigation; Chair of both Family Service Enterprise Board and Family Service Operations Board; Co-Treasurer of the Salvation Army Absecon Service Unit; Volunteer Corporate Counsel for the Atlantic County Women's Hall of Fame; Member of the America Association of University Women, Atlantic City Branch.
Lynn Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rutgers University School of Law and holds a BA degree from University of Pennsylvania in Biology and Certificate in Secondary Education.

Douglas J. Heun

Doug Heun is one of the founding partners of Tracey Heun Brennan & Co., CPA's. Doug graduated from Drexel University in 1969 with a B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration. He is a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), and also a licensed Public School Accountant. Doug is in charge of the firm's client development, financial planning and managerial consulting business. He also handles a full load of tax and accounting clients. Doug is a member of the Board of Directors of Sun National Bank. He is Chairman of the Bank's ALCO Committee and serves as a member of the Audit Committee. Doug is and has been active in the community. He currently serves as Vice President of the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children in Avalon, New Jersey, is a member of the Avalon Lions Club in Avalon, New Jersey, and is President of the Challenged Children's Charities Corporation. He is also a member of the Stockton Foundation Board of Trustees in Pomona, New Jersey, and is a member of the Stainton Foundation, Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, New Jersey.

Michael Parmenter

Michael Parmenter was a member of the New Jersey State Police for over 26 years, initially serving as a Trooper in several southern New Jersey stations. Michael continued his career as a Detective in the Investigations Section with assignments in the Auto Theft Unit and the Major Crime Unit. Michael was reassigned to the Employee Relations Unit for the last four years of his career. In this position he developed initiatives which provided support and assistance to members of the State Police who were experiencing difficulties in their professional or personal lives. Michael retired at the rank of Lieutenant in 2008 to spend more time with his family.
Michael previously served as a member of 177th Fighter Interceptor Group of the New Jersey Air National Guard. He is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's National Academy program and completed Graduate studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Over the years, Michael has been involved with the 200 Club of Atlantic and Cape May Counties, Concerns of Police Survivors, the Police Unity Tour, as well as other organizations and activities which honor law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. Since retiring, Michael has become a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Atlantic City Fire Department Sand Pipers Pipe Band. Michael is also involved with his church food bank, Angel Food Ministry program, and is a parent volunteer in the Hamilton Township elementary schools.
Michael has been a resident of Atlantic County for over 50 years. He and his wife, Madeline Neumann, live in Mays Landing with their four children, Anthony, Catherine, John and Claire.

Madeline Neumann became a law enforcement survivor on August 3, 1989 at the age of twenty-two when her husband, Essex County Police Officer Keith E. Neumann, was killed during a pre-dawn drug raid in Irvington. The couple was married for only six weeks. In the years following Keith's death, Ms. Neumann became involved with other line-of-duty survivors in our state in the hopes of helping them through the most difficult of times. In 1998 she co-founded Garden State C.O.P.S. (GS C.O.P.S.), a local chapter of the national organization Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.). The C.O.P.S. organization is dedicated to helping law enforcement's line-of-duty survivors deal with their tragedy and rebuild their shattered lives. She served as President of GS C.O.P.S. from 1998 to 2003 and currently holds the position of Trustee. She also served two terms as Northeast Region Trustee on the National Board for C.O.P.S. from May 2002 to May 2004. She is currently the National Chapter Coordinator for C.O.P.S. overseeing 50 local chapters across the country.
Through her role in GS C.O.P.S. she has addressed law enforcement agencies regarding the trauma of a line of duty death and how to help their survivors and officers.
Last winter Ms. Neumann had the honor of participating in the Governor's Police Suicide Task Force. The task force was prompted by the epidemic of police suicides throughout the state.
She has also served two terms as Secretary for the 200 Club of Atlantic and Cape May Counties from 1997 to 1999, and has served as the Chair for the Annual Memorial Mass and Breakfast Committee for the past three years. Ms. Neumann has served on the Memorial Committee for the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police since 1999. She is responsible for the Memorial Roll Call Presentation and liaison for new survivors.
Ms. Neumann now resides in Mays Landing with her second husband, Michael Parmenter, and their four children Anthony, Catherine, John and Claire. In addition to her work with law enforcement survivors, Ms. Neumann remains active in her community by volunteering in the public schools and serving as a Girl Scout leader for her daughter's troop.

Fred Romonowski

Fred Romonowski is a licensed private investigator and a member of FSR Investigations, L.L.C., with offices in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. He served twenty-five years as a New Jersey State Trooper before retiring with the rank of captain during 1990. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. Mr. Romonowski served twenty-two years in the United States military (Army and New Jersey Army National Guard) with military occupational specialties in military police, intelligence, and physical security.

Leonard E. Gray, Jr

Lenny Gray, a native of Harrison, NJ, is an alumnus of Seton Hall Preparatory School and Seton Hall University. Len comes from a family of law enforcement (his father, a retired Harrison Police Lieutenant; his father's brother, a retired Harrison Police Captain; and Len's mother's brother, a retired Bloomfield Detective).
A software professional since 1971, he has served 75 of the then-Fortune500 and hundreds of mid-sized firms in the roles of Senior Consultant, Database Programmer, Database Architect, Project Manager, and Systems/Business Analyst.
For the past 30 years, he has been actively involved in community service activities both from within formal organizations and acting individually. Len had served in all local officer positions and all but one statewide position in Optimist International, a youth-oriented organization. He was awarded "Optimist of the Year" on two occasions and he was granted a Life Membership for his dedication to the growth of the organization. Additionally, he chaired many committees including: New Club Building, Optimist International Foundation, Candidates Qualifications, Oratorical Contest, Membership, Leadership Development, Bowling Festival, Friend of Youth Fair, Bicycle Rodeo, Easter Egg Hunt, Club Newsletter, and Youth Appreciation Week.
Len also served the Monmouth Council, Boy Scouts of America, in the following roles: Friends of Scouting Chairman, Scouting for Food Council Chairman, Den Leader, Unit District Commissioner, and Council District Chairman. Other community service activities involved membership and leadership roles in the following organizations: 200 Club of Monmouth County, 200 Club of Atlantic and Cape May Counties, American Heart Association - Western Monmouth, Exchange Club of Freehold, Freehold Township Drug Alliance, Freehold Township Little League, Galloway Township Athletic Association, Knights of Columbus (4th Degree Knight), and Vailsburg Newark Lions Club.
Lenny has the strong belief that "community service is the dues that we pay to be members of the human race."
