Patrolman Lester J. Guischard Buena Borough Police Department October 14, 1987 Patrolman Lester J. Guischard, 26, was fatally injured on a Wednesday morning when his patrol car struck a utility pole after colliding with another vehicle. The accident occurred at a three-way intersection on US Route 40. At the time of the accident Officer Guischard was responding to a call to assist another officer in a neighboring community. He was an eight-year veteran of the force who graduated from the local high school and was well respected in the community.  Patrolman Guischard left behind a wife, Sandy, and a young daughter.
