Police Officer Daniel Duross Atlantic City Police Department September 24, 1963 Motorcycle Patrolman Daniel DuRoss, 29, was fatally injured on a Tuesday night when his cycle was involved in a head-on collision with an automobile on the Chelsea Parkway at Hartford Avenue. The driver of the car was charged with drunk driving.  A respected member of the Atlantic City Police Department for over five years, DuRoss left behind his wife, Joan, and three daughters.
