![]() Retired Police Officer Kirk Clark, Sr. Jacksonville, FL Retired Jacksonville Florida Police Officer Kirk Clark, Sr. is a survivor of a shooting that occurred in 1990. He was on undercover duty at an Arlington Apartment complex working on a drug bust when he was shot 9 times, with 2 bullets lodged in his vest. His partner was killed. After the shooting, Kirk was just existing, waiting to die, when he realized that sadness gets you nowhere. He learned to live with his "new normal", which consisted of pain and disabilities. He wanted to make a difference in the lives of other survivors and their families and the families of those who had lost their lives in the line of duty. He did this through his work with Concerns of Police Survivors. If you liked hearing Retired Louisiana Trooper Dr. Bobby Smith speak in 2004, then you will love Kirk Clark. |
